Rachel's Blessing

Rachel was blessed on August 7, 2011 by her father. Her dress was made by her paternal grandmother and was adorable. We waited till we got to church to put it on but as we were putting it on she spit up, drats! The counselor wanted to have an interview with me before church to call me to be the visiting teacher coordinator (something about having baby girls as this is the second time for that calling and first was when Miriam was born). We felt blessed for the family support. In her circle was my dad, my Uncle Clark, Uncle Bruce, Eric's dad, and 2 brothers. In her blessing she was pleased to come to Earth and prove that she will follow Jesus Christ. Also blessed to follow the good examples of older siblings. The thing that caught my attention the most was specifically have opportunity to serve a mission and be married in the temple.
After sacrament where I spent most of the time in the hallway as she wasn't very happy and ended up nursing her so once again (Miriam did same) when everyone was ready to head to the park for lunch we weren't. After some confusion and more work putting together the potato, and fruit salad we got everyone together for lunch. Thanks to our parents for helping put on a great meal!My cousin McKady brought her little dog Percy and Miriam was thrilled to see him again. Somehow the hostess is always eating last!
I'm grateful my whole family could come including my brother who has been living in Texas. Ryan always makes it to the blessings despite being so far away.
My mom's side of the family had definitely the most representation. Upper left is cousins Stephanie and Danielle with their families. Upper right is my Uncle Bruce and Aunt Hazel who is also in the center. Lower pictures is my Uncle Clark's family.
Here is my mom and 2 out of 5 brothers and sister out of 3 living. We're sure glad they came from Logan, SLC, and Blanding!
Here is the representation from my dad's family! We sure love Aunt Jamie and Uncle Craig, they have come to see every baby after they were born and been to all the blessings.
Here is the Jones family, with Grandma holding a sleeping Rachel who had finally fallen asleep after wailing for awhile. The kids played on the playground, and rolled down the hill. Thanks for all who made it a great day!

Happy Valentines Day!

Some of our heart/Valentine clothes we wore. I took pictures with the heart light to do a Valentine for the Grandmas. All of us on Valentines Day with the flowers Eric sent me. Rachel's onesie is more applicable for her than it was for Miriam. It says I love then a check list of family members. We had pink heart pancakes for breakfast.
We might be starting a tradition of having heart pizza for Valentines Day. Eric is getting good at making pizza, and the kids love helping him. The perfect conclusion to Valentines!Happy Valentines!!
Who is who? Miriam at almost 11 mon wearing Mickey and Minnie dress with Valentine roses Eric gave me and Rachel at almost 8 mon in the same clothes with Valentine flowers.
